SQUARE ROOTS PROMOTIONS present THE HANGING STARS Plus Special Guests TWO CROWS FOR COMFORT (Canada)

Please note, this show is seated show / some standing

An evening of beautifully crafted Cosmic Americana with Americana UK Award Winners The Hanging Stars - undoubtedly currently the hottest ticket on the UK Americana scene, fresh with their critically acclaimed, new chart bound album “Just A Day”. Welcome to the mind-blowing world of The Hanging Stars!

“Switching deftly between deliciously sentimental Americana and swaggering psychedelia!” (Uncut Magazine)

Blending folk pastoralism with swampy 60’s Americana, The Hanging Stars sound like the missing link between the California desert sun and the grey skies of London Town.

Their sound evokes classic sounds from the past with an ear towards the future, from The Byrds via Big Star, to The Feelies, Spiritualized, Teenage Fanclub and Tom Petty. Or think Lou Reed and the Velvets jamming with Gorkys Zygotic Mynci, mainlining the dying embers of the early 70s psychedelic folk and cosmic country scenes.

“Hazy desert dreams of songs, nicely sharpened with steely-eyed guitars and Mersey-laced harmonies - a shimmering sliver of post-summer brilliance!” (The Guardian)

Two Crows For Comfort - From the Prairie wonderland of Manitoba, Cory & Erin are original, engaging, fabulous and funny! Two time MCMA Roots Duo / Group Of The Year winners, this is acoustic folk music at it’s best. Harmony singing is so key to roots music, and Two Crows For Comfort have nailed that perfectly!
