Fadeout formed in late 1999 to early 2000 in Eastney, Portsmouth when 4 school friends who were bound together by their love of britpop, post punk and the fall out of the grunge scene come together to deliver their own interpretation of their environment. Within 12 months they were paying debut shows at the Air Balloon and Horseshoe where they quickly became a staple part of the vibrant local scene at the time (both venues are sadly no more). Over the next few years they built a dedicated underground following with a “play anywhere to anyone” attitude and an ever-evolving independent sound that resonated with their audiences. Several self-released EPs happened in the following years firstly with Nowhere Man, followed up with Stuck In Our Ways and then finally Captain that became a regular on radio stations both in the UK and overseas.

As their live shows intensified so did their following and in May 2006 they played their biggest hometown show to date at the sold out Wedgwood Rooms. Support slots with likes of Supergrass, The Futureheads, Echobelly and The Joy Formidable before heading out on a five date tour of France. 15 years on, the original line up of Deniz Muharrem (vocal/ guitar), Rob Dawson (guitar/ backing vocals) Rich Davis (Bass guitar) and Steve Bull (drums) have reformed to bring their cascading guitars, driving beats and heartfelt melodies back to a venue near you.

They play a blend of eclectic covers and self penned tunes but never take things too seriously, meaning the roots of Americana and it's casual nature are always present!
