GET A GIG

This page will hopefully give you some insight and tips into navigating Portsmouth’s vibrant music scene and maybe even help when developing a career as a professional musician.

Support Slots

Unfortunately we cannot offer support slots with touring acts unless specified by the promoter or agent, however there are opportunities on occasion. These will be advertised on social media so make sure you're following our FACEBOOK page to stay up to date. We will usually ask for the following in the comments section which will then be collected and passed onto the promoter.

  • A contact e-mail address (set up for the band and regularly checked)
  • Links to music (upload your music to Spotify, Bandcamp or Soundcloud)
  • Social media links (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter)

Please do not e-mail us your links, send us files, phone the venue or message members of staff on their personal social media accounts. Please follow the steps provided when the opportunities are advertised and remember - first impressions are everything, so be professional.

Local Promoters

There are some fantastic promoters putting on smaller touring acts and local showcases in the city - get acquainted with some of them in the links below. It’s important you network so make sure you attend smaller gigs and meet like - minded people.

If there aren’t any promoters repping your favourite genre you can always put on your own show in The Edge! Please see the VENUE HIRE page for details.
