FAST TRAINS: Full Band Show
Entry Requirements: All Ages. Under 14s accompanied by an adult. R.O.A.R
Fast Trains return to their native Portsmouth for two special shows on Saturday 2nd September.
Combining inventive alt pop with a cryptic visual space known as ‘ourWorld’, Fast Trains is the boundary-pushing solo project of songwriter Tom Wells. Tom will begin with a solo matinee show in the afternoon, followed by a full band show in the evening, both including new material from their forthcoming debut album (expected 2024).
Since its beginnings in 2019, Fast Trains has been championed by BBC 6 Music, Amazing Radio and BBC Introducing, and has won awards for both its songwriting and visual content. In 2022 they supported Turin Brakes on their ‘Wide-Eyed Nowhere’ UK tour and have self-released three studio EPs to date, widely praised for their modern take on alternative 80s bands such as XTC, Tears For Fears and Squeeze.
Prior to 2023, all Fast Trains music was only available on YouTube and Bandcamp. However, from 2nd June 2023, Fast Trains will be releasing a new track, every Friday, to all platforms including Spotify. This will continue every week until October, when the existing catalogue is complete, ahead of their debut album expected next year.
Tickets are available separately for either the afternoon or evening performance, or you can pick up a combined ticket for entry to both shows.
