Formed in 1978 in Portsmouth and influenced by The Clash, Buzzcocks and The Kinks. The Media released two sought after singles -' TV Kid's and 'South Coast City Rockers'. They appeared on the TV program ' Going Out' and recorded an album but split up before its release.

In 2019 Lovechild Records released the album 'Bright New Future' and a single ' Jump Down'. Off the back of this the band reformed and recorded the album 'Blink OF An Eye' on Detour Records.

Their new EP ' Getting Of At Fratton' is released in February 2023
