Combining inventive alt pop with a cryptic visual space known as ‘ourWorld’, Fast Trains is the boundary-pushing solo project of Portsmouth born songwriter Tom Wells.

Since its inception in 2019, Fast Trains has been championed by the likes of BBC Introducing, Amazing Radio and BBC 6 Music, with comparisons drawn to XTC, Field Music and Tears For Fears. Collaborations with visual artists have led to award-winning videos screened at film festivals all over the world.

Fiercely independent, all Fast Trains music has to date been kept off the usual streaming platforms, instead delivering to fans directly via the official website, YouTube channel and Bandcamp. This has resulted in a passionate live following, where Tom shifts the gig experience from intimate solo performances to energetic full band shows.

Tom brings his full band to The Edge of the Wedge, part of a string of UK tour dates for Fast Trains.
