Online Orders

All tickets purchased on this site are governed by our terms and conditions. In particular, we draw your attention to the fact that all tickets are for personal use only and cannot be resold under any circumstances. Resale or attempted resale is grounds for seizure or cancellation without refund or other compensation. The Wedge & Edge Ltd and its affiliates, successors, or assigns may enforce these terms in accordance with the provisions of the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 (the Act).

Ticket Agencies

Please Note: Tickets purchased through outside agencies will only be available for collection after the doors open on the evening of the show. Direct all enquiries to the Ticket Outlet not the venue Box Office. Please provide the name of the cardholder and reference number issued at the time of purchase. For some shows you will also need to bring the credit/debit card with you.

Age Restrictions

The Wedgewood Rooms is happy to welcome customers of all ages, but the following restrictions apply:

Live music shows are open to all ages, however we request that anyone under 14 should be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Restricted age shows i.e. 18+ will be shown as this on the website, these shows will be predominantly club nights.

Comedy shows are open to customers over 16 years of age, if we feel that the content may be more suited to a more adult audience then we will publish this information in advance.

If you have any queries about a particular show then please email one of the addresses listed at the bottom of this page.

No Smoking NoticeSmoking Ban - 1st July 2007

As with all other enclosed public spaces, The Wedgewood Rooms and edge of the Wedge will become no smoking venues from the 1st July 2007.

As the buiding is landlocked we have no space to extend or build a smoking shelter.

To comply with the law we will be operating a zero tolence policy towards smoking in any part of the building, anyone found smoking will be asked to leave as we do not wish to incur any fines by contravening the new law.

We will also be maintaining our no re-admission policy.

Parking

Unfortunately there is no car park near the venue.

There is plenty of parking space in the roads around the venue, but this does fill up quite quickly.

Please arrive early to avoid difficulty in finding a space.

Please also respect our neighbour’s needs to park their cars.

Disabled Access

The Venues facilities are all at street level, so there is easy disabled access.

Both the Wedgewood Rooms and The Edge of the Wedge have disabled toilet facilities; the key for the Venue facility can be acquired from either the bar or the Box Office.

Licensing

Whilst the Wedgewood Rooms is an all age venue normal licensing rules apply.

We participate in the ‘Challenge 21 ‘ scheme and as such, any one who is, or appears to be under 21, will be asked for ID at the bar, before being served.

A driving licence or passport is required.

Customers are requested to kindly refrain from drinking alcohol in the queue outside the venue.

If you are found doing this we will ask for ID, if you have no appropriate ID you will not be allowed into the Venue.

Unsigned Bands

Please note that whilst we like to support the local music scene, support slots for gigs are very rare.

If you are not based within the Portsmouth area then we regret that the chances of playing a support slot are virtually nil.

If you are within the Portsmouth area then we will be more than happy to receive your demos.
