Plus Special Guests FAKE EMPIRE + POSITRONS + DJ ROB MOORE

Three Portsmouth bands are offering a night of guitars, keyboard and film, with Torpedoes releasing the first ever double vinyl album to hail from our fair city.

Torpedoes (torpedoesband.co.uk) release Black Museum, an album which explores Europe on the cusp of Brexit, taking in modern and recent Europe (WWI and WWII, marytrdom, personal and international loss). This is the band's third album and it is a gothic, post-punk masterpiece of articulating the mixed-up feelings of where we might all be right now. The stage show will be a one-off for this night and there could be a very, very special guest joining the bill.

Feake Empire create a world of surging atmospheric indie rock, tainted with tales of crushed hopes and silent longing. Dynamic guitars and euphoric synths meld with strong melodies to create dark but uplifting songs that dredge-up the remains of unrequited love and unhealthy infatuation.

First on at the show are Positrons, who defy any categorisation, but then they would. Led by former Vex frontman Dean Clarke, their music has a synphonic/shameolodic charm, explores inner confines and they like the trill and the thrill of new terrains. Their debut album is being recorded, hear the first fruits here.

DJ for the night is Rob Moore of Harbour Records (featured band of the night are The Cure) and the show is also supported by Gig Buddies who will have a stall there, so say hi to them!
