The Wedgewood Rooms and Edge of the Wedge received Best Bar None Portsmouth accreditation in 2007, 2008 & 2010

As with all enclosed public spaces The Wedgewood Rooms is a no smoking venue. 

There is a small smoking area outside the venue, to which we will allow limited access.

This will close half an hour before the published curfew time.

To comply with the current laws we will be operating a zero tolerance policy towards smoking in any part of the building.

Anyone found smoking will be asked to leave as we do not wish to incur any fines by contravening the law. 

We will also be maintaining our no re-admission policy. 
 

The Venue operates a zero tolerance policy towards the physical and verbal abuse of it's staff

Offenders will be removed from the premises & the police may be contacted.

Searches may be carried out on entry to the premises.

The Police may be called if anyone is found in possession of illegal substances or offensive weapons.

Whilst the Wedgewood Rooms and The Edge of the Wedge are all-ages venues for live music events under-14s need to be accompanied by an adult and normal licensing rules apply. 

We participate in the ‘Challenge 25 ‘ scheme. Anyone who is, or appears to be under 25 will be asked for ID at the bar before being served. 

On nights when we open late, and particularly at weekends, all customers will be asked for some form of picture ID before they are allowed into the venue.

A driving licence or passport is required, and is the only ID we accept.

Customers are requested to kindly refrain from drinking alcohol in the queue outside the venue. 

If you are found doing this we will ask for ID, if you have no appropriate ID you will not be allowed into the Venue.
